California Proposition 65

KNG works within the guidelines of applicable US federal and state safety requirements, including the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, also known as California Proposition 65.

According to the state of California, businesses must provide a warning that appears on a product’s label or other labeling for products that may contain any of the 850+ chemicals on California’s Prop 65 list.

If any product contains one of the 850+ listed chemicals, the warning will read:

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to Cause Cancer.

OR

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

OR

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.

A Proposition 65 warning label does not mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements.
