I work with water all day long washing. This waterproof apron works great and keeps me totally dry. For how thick it is, was totally impressed by the low cost for it and would tell others to buy one also.

As a Steward the black leather waterproof apron is an excellent choice to the professional eye. The apron sets the standard in water,splash, and stain protection. The only warning is to not scratch or wear buckles as belt buckles may tear aprons. Must hang and not fold as may cause cracking. Also need some form of leather creme, leather protectant to keep the apron safely coated to protect and clean from chemicals or residues that may get on the apron.

We have been using the heavy, brown vinyl aprons that are really bulky. At once our volunteers have commented how great these new black aprons are! We use them at our church functions and retreats for tray and dishwashing.

I use this apron at a 3 compartment sink with a spay hose that splashes water. The apron is waterproof thus keeping my clothes dry!

I wanted a durable waterproof apron for the kitchen. Fabric aprons do not protect well enough from oils & liquids. They will also need to be laundered too frequently for my preferences. Being a male who cooks a lot, I did not want an apron with a "homey" or feminine print. The price had to also be reasonable to me.

This apron accomplished ALL of that! I have actually gotten compliments on it -- how good it looked on me.

I added one touch -- a take-up bead on the neck strap so that it can be higher on me. To do so, I got a 7/8" wooden bead with a 3/8" hole (at an art supply store (e.g., Michaels, Joan Fabrics), pushed the neck strap through, then attached a 1" metal split-ring key ring onto the loop to keep the bead from coming off. It works great.
